You know the problem
Five people in the group chat. Two on PC, one PS5, one Xbox, one Switch. Someone throws out a game name. "Does it have crossplay?" Nobody's sure. Someone Googles it. "Wait, it maxes out at 3 players." Back to suggestions. Twenty minutes later you're playing the same thing you always play.
We got sick of this, so we built a thing. PickThe.Games checks platform compatibility, crossplay rules, and player counts for you. Everyone in the group votes. The games that actually work for everyone float to the top.
How it works
- 1.Make a board - Give it a name, pick the platforms your group plays on.
- 2.Get everyone in - Send a link or add the Discord bot. Each person taps which platforms they own.
- 3.Swipe - Cards show up with game info. Swipe right for yes, left for no, up for maybe, down to ban it. Takes a couple minutes.
- 4.Check results - Games are ranked by group fit. The app factors in votes, platform overlap, and crossplay.
Platforms
Crossplay is tracked between every platform combo. So if a game works PC-to-PS5 but not PC-to-Switch, you'll see that before anyone wastes money.
Discord bot
The whole thing works inside Discord if you don't want to open a browser. Slash commands for setup, invites, voting rounds, and posting results. There's also an embedded Activity so people can swipe right in the voice channel.
Add to DiscordIt's free
No subscription, no paywall, no ads in your face. We keep the lights on through donations and the occasional game sponsorship (publishers can pay to get their game shown, but only if it actually fits your group's platforms).
Takes about a minute to set up
Make a board, send the link, start swiping.
