Short version

We collect what we need to run the site. We don't track you across the web. We use cookies for login sessions and a few basic analytics. That's it.

What we collect

  • Account info: username, email, hashed password. If you sign up through Discord, your Discord user ID, username, and avatar.
  • Board data: boards you create or join, platforms you select, games you vote on, and how you voted.
  • Contact submissions: if you send us a message through the contact form, we store the category, email, subject, and message.
  • Subscription data: if you subscribe to the ad-free plan, we store your Tebex customer ID and subscription status.
  • Sponsor data: if you're a sponsor, we track swipes on your sponsored games for billing.

What we don't collect

  • We don't store your actual password. It's hashed with bcrypt before it touches the database.
  • We don't store credit card numbers. Tebex handles all payment data.
  • We don't read your Discord messages or access your Discord servers beyond what the bot needs.

Advertising

We display ads provided by Overwolf to non-paying users. Overwolf may use cookies and similar technologies to serve relevant ads. Ad-free subscribers do not see any ads and are not tracked by the ad network. You can remove ads by subscribing to the ad-free plan.

Cookies

We use cookies for the following purposes:

  • Session cookie (gp_session): keeps you logged in. HTTP-only, secure in production. Lasts 30 days.
  • Cookie consent (cookie_consent): remembers whether you accepted cookies.
  • Discord OAuth state: temporary cookie used during Discord login. Deleted after use.
  • Advertising cookies: Overwolf may set cookies to serve and measure ads. These are only set for non-paying users.

We use Google reCAPTCHA on login, registration, and the contact form. Google may set its own cookies for this. See Google's privacy policy.

Discord

If you link your Discord account, we store your Discord user ID (a number), your display name, and your avatar URL. We use this to identify you when you use bot commands or the embedded activity. We don't access your friend list, messages, or server membership beyond what you explicitly interact with through our bot.

You can unlink your Discord at any time from Settings. We keep a record that the link existed (for audit purposes) but mark it as inactive.

How we use your data

  • To run the matching algorithm (votes, platforms, crossplay).
  • To show you and your board members the results.
  • To send you emails you asked for (password resets, welcome emails).
  • To let sponsors see aggregate swipe stats on their games (they don't see who you are).
  • To respond to support tickets.

Who sees your data

Board members on your boards can see your username, the platforms you selected, and how you voted. Sponsors see aggregate vote counts, not individual users. Admins can see account details for moderation. We don't share data with anyone else.

Data storage

Your data is stored on servers we control. We use SQLite for the database and standard server security practices. We're a small project, not a Fortune 500 company, so keep that in mind.

Deleting your account

If you want your account deleted, contact us. We'll remove your account and associated data. Votes you cast will be anonymized rather than deleted, since other board members rely on the aggregate results.

Changes

We might update this policy. We'll post the new version here with an updated date. If we make a major change to how we handle your data, we'll notify you.
